Novartis announces sponsorship

Novartis Animal Health is pleased to announce major sponsorship of the NSA Welsh Sheep

April 7, 2011 — Leading animal health company demonstrates ongoing support for sheep producers and the wider industry

Novartis Animal Health has once again fulfilled its strong commitment to the sheep industry, and its continued support of the National Sheep Association, with the announcement that it will be a key sponsor of the longstanding NSA Welsh Sheep event this Spring.

The one-day show will be held on Wednesday May 18, 2011, at Maesllwyni Farm, Penegoes, Machynlleth, and is set to provide a wealth of useful technical and business information on a range of key industry issues and provide valuable direction for sheep producers.

“After the successful launch and uptake of ZOLVIX® – the Novartis’ new 4-AD class (monepantel*) wormer – in 2010, the anticipated success of the Welsh Sheep event marks yet another positive step forward for the industry,” says Novartis Animal Health’s Helen Langham.

“With continued investment from Novartis Animal Health in providing forward thinking technical and professional solutions, the future is bright. This Spring is a particularly exciting time with the launch of CLiKZiN® as a complement to our market leading extended duration blowfly prevention product CLiK ® With the season getting longer every year, we recognise the importance of providing a flexible package for sheep farmers and it is anticipated that CLiKZiN®, with it’s short 7 day meat withhold period, will be a welcome addition to our portfolio.

”The NSA Welsh Sheep Event is always unmissable and represents one of our key major sponsorship areas with other similar industry events throughout the UK. Novartis Animal Health are pleased to be able to continue our support of the NSA shows, for the good of sheep producers and the sheep industry as a whole,” adds Miss Langham.

As in previous years, it is anticipated the show will be well-attended and both useful and informative for everyone involved in the industry, from production through to the consumer. There will be wider information available for professionals and affiliated bodies as well as the opportunity to showcase the many and varied aspects of the sheep industry to a wider audience.
